Three kilometers southwest of Zabljak, with which it is connected by asphalt, lies the BLACK LAKE, the largest and most famous lake of Durmitor, and the second on the surface among the mountain lakes of Montenegro and one of the symbols of this region. It is located below the Medjeda, as a guard and protector, and it is dotted with thick conifers, which, together with Medjed, are reflected in its blue green depths.
When the snow starts to melt under it, a strong spring Celina emerge, peeling abruptly with white waterfalls into the lake. It consists of two water surfaces, the so-called. Small and Big Lakes, separated by a narrow surface of the mainland, called the „river“. The altitude of the lake is 1418. meters. The little lake is deep 49. 1, and a lot of 24. 5 meters. Departure from Kolasin around 10h to Zabljak.
